What is the frequency of position registration

When a vehicle is stationary, a new position is recorded every hour.

When a vehicle is moving, a new position is typically recorded and transmitted every 3 to 12 seconds. The difference depends on the speed, changes in direction and changes in speed. The reasoning is that when driving slowly on a straight road, new information is required less frequently than when driving fast, there are many bends or there are frequent changes in speed. The absolute maximum is one position per second.

As soon as new information becomes available, it is transmitted.
